About Color Crush

My tragic love story began with orange. My orange pen led to an orange shirt, orange chopsticks, the fight for the orange tupperware toothpick holder, orange sheets, orange wall, orange car, orange house, orange wedding -- well, the wall was where it ended until I began my obsession with wood...

To explain: when one becomes obsessed with a particular color, one begins to see this color everywhere. One goes about his or her routine in a normal fashion and then can suddenly become intrigued by an object they may not have even noticed before - simply because it is the color of their obsession. Let's use my attraction to orange as an example. One day I was shopping for dinner, as I normally would, when I became totally side tracked by a funnel - an orange funnel. With absolutely no need for a funnel, I admired the shade of orange, paid for the new item, and brought it home. Tragedy usually only occurs when you've run out of places to put things.

As an outlet for the color obsessed, Color Crush allows those who have developed these crushes to express, discover, and be entertained by objects and information based on color. With each installation, Color Crush will feature a new color, three "crushes." We will also be featuring a more specific look at the color itself; and coming soon, the color stories section where you can upload your experiences in real time.

Thank you for taking the time to experience this world of color. Everyone has a favorite. I hope to hear about yours soon!
